1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MUTE service ("Service") provided by Ryu-raku Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our").
By registering for, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2Definitions
- "Service" means the MUTE spam-blocking service provided by us.
- "User" or "you" means any individual or entity registered to use the Service.
- "Free Plan" means the no-cost plan, with no time limit, covering up to 100 blocks per calendar month.
- "Paid Plan" means the monthly subscription that removes the block limit.
- "Cancellation" means ending your Paid Plan subscription. Your use of the Service continues on the Free Plan.
- "Account closure" means ending your use of the Service entirely. Your account and registration data are deleted.
3Description of Service
MUTE detects and blocks automated bot submissions through your website's contact form by embedding a single line of JavaScript. The Service operates only on a registered domain that has been authenticated; the code will not work on any other domain.
The Service provides the following:
- Automatic bot detection and form submission blocking via honeypot method
- Monthly block report delivered by email (once per month)
- Account management via dashboard
⚠ MUTE is designed to block automated bot submissions only. We do not guarantee that manually submitted spam will be blocked, nor do we guarantee a 100% block rate. The Service may not function correctly depending on your contact form type, structure, or JavaScript libraries in use.
4Account Registration
You represent and warrant that all registration information is accurate, you lawfully manage the registered domain, and you will maintain only one account per domain. The domain you register is authenticated, which is what enables the JavaScript code to work.
⚠ Subdomains (e.g. shop.example.com) are treated as separate domains from the root domain (e.g. example.com). If you wish to use MUTE on a subdomain, please register a separate account for it.
You are responsible for the security of your account (including management of your login links). If you detect any unauthorized access, please contact us immediately via the Contact Page.
5Free Plan
- The Free Plan covers up to 100 blocks per calendar month at no charge, with no time limit.
- There is no automatic charge when you reach the limit.
- Once you pass 100 blocks in a month, blocking pauses for the remainder of that month and submissions pass through. Your account is never suspended or deleted. The count resets on the 1st of each month.
- To remove the monthly limit, you can subscribe to the Paid Plan. No charge is made unless you subscribe.
- The Free Plan may be used indefinitely, including after cancelling a Paid Plan.
6Fees and Payment

- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Credit card information is never stored on our servers.
- The Paid Plan renews automatically each month on the same day. If you do not wish to renew, cancel your subscription from the dashboard before the next renewal date. You then return to the Free Plan (up to 100 blocks per calendar month).
- $3.00/month (excl. tax). We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.
- Your personal information and submission data are processed on servers operated by Resend and Cloudflare (United States).
7Cancellation, Account Closure and Refunds
Cancellation (ending the Paid Plan) and account closure (ending your use of the Service)
- You may, at any time via the dashboard, either cancel your subscription (stop paying, keep using MUTE) or close your account (stop using MUTE entirely).
- If you cancel your subscription, billing stops and the account returns to the Free Plan (up to 100 blocks per calendar month). Blocking and your account continue.
- If you close your account, your use of the Service ends. Blocking stops immediately, you can no longer log in, and all registration data is deleted. The same domain and email address then become available to register again. If you are on the Paid Plan, billing stops at the same time.
- Data deleted when you close your account cannot be restored.
Refunds
- No charges apply to the Free Plan.
- Paid Plan fees are generally non-refundable. No pro-rated refund will be issued for cancellation part-way through a billing month. However, in the event of a service outage directly attributable to us lasting more than 72 consecutive hours, we may provide a pro-rated refund or credit. In any case, our maximum liability is limited to the total fees you paid in the preceding 12 months.
- Refund requests should be submitted via the Contact Page.
8Prohibited Uses
You agree not to
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Register a domain you do not lawfully manage
- Create multiple accounts for a single domain
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the JavaScript code
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Engage in any fraudulent or harmful activities
- Transfer, sell, or assign your account to any third party
⚠ Changes to your registered email address or account transfers are not supported. Account transfers and resale are strictly prohibited.
9Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
10Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation
- We do not guarantee a 100% spam block rate
- We do not guarantee compatibility with your specific website environment
- We do not support or guarantee operation in SPA environments (post-navigation forms), iframe-based forms, forms replaced by A/B testing tools, or sites with strict CSP settings
10.1 Installation Disclaimer
Installation of the JavaScript code is performed entirely at your own risk. We provide no installation support, troubleshooting, or verification assistance. If you need help with installation, please consult your web developer. We are not responsible for any errors, display issues, or damage to your website caused by installation.
10.2 Post-Installation Disclaimer
We provide no warranty or support for post-installation issues, including conflicts with other scripts, plugins, or website components. We are not responsible for any damage resulting from the use or installation of the Service.
10.3 Verification Recommendation
⚠ Important We strongly recommend verifying that MUTE works correctly in your website environment on the Free Plan before subscribing to the Paid Plan. If you cannot confirm proper operation on the Free Plan, we recommend against subscribing. Refunds after subscribing are not available as a general rule.
⚠ Environments where MUTE may not function
- Forms rendered after client-side navigation in SPA frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt.js, etc.)
- Forms embedded in iframes (e.g. Wix, Squarespace built-in forms)
- Forms dynamically replaced by A/B testing tools
- Sites with strict Content Security Policy (CSP) — script-src and connect-src must be updated to include MUTE's endpoint
11Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW
- Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for any damage to your website caused by installation or use of the Service.
12Modifications and Termination
- We may modify the Service at any time. Minor changes may be made without prior notice.
- We may terminate the Service at any time.
- Accounts that violate these Terms may be suspended or deleted without notice.
If we terminate the Service, Paid Plan subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion.
13Support, Language & Geographic Restrictions
- Support and notifications are provided in Japanese and English only.
- The Service may not be available in all countries or regions. Users are responsible for ensuring that use of the Service complies with local laws and regulations. We are not liable for any restrictions imposed by your country of residence.
14Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court.
15Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
16Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
