1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MUTE service ("Service") provided by Ryu-raku Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our").
By registering for, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2Definitions
- "Service" means the MUTE spam-blocking service provided by us.
- "User" or "you" means any individual or entity registered to use the Service.
- "Trial Period" means the 14-day free trial following registration.
- "Paid Plan" means the annual subscription available after the Trial Period.
3Description of Service
MUTE detects and blocks automated bot submissions through your website's contact form by embedding a single line of JavaScript.
The Service provides the following:
- Automatic bot detection and form submission blocking via honeypot method
- Monthly block report delivered by email (once per month)
- Account management via dashboard
⚠ MUTE is designed to block automated bot submissions only. We do not guarantee that manually submitted spam will be blocked, nor do we guarantee a 100% block rate. The Service may not function correctly depending on your contact form type, structure, or JavaScript libraries in use.
4Account Registration
You represent and warrant that all registration information is accurate, you lawfully manage the registered domain, and you will maintain only one account per domain.
⚠ Subdomains (e.g. shop.example.com) are treated as separate domains from the root domain (e.g. example.com). If you wish to use MUTE on a subdomain, please register a separate account for it.
5Trial Period
- All features are available during the 14-day Trial Period at no charge.
- There is no automatic charge after the trial ends.
- Blocking stops automatically when the trial ends.
- To continue, you must subscribe to the Paid Plan.
- The free trial is available once per user.
6Fees and Payment

- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Credit card information is never stored on our servers.
- The Paid Plan renews automatically each year on the anniversary of your subscription date. To cancel, please do so via the dashboard before the renewal date.
- $39.96/year (excl. tax). We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.
- Your personal information and submission data are processed on servers operated by Resend and Cloudflare (United States).
7Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation
- You may cancel at any time via the dashboard.
- Blocking stops immediately upon cancellation.
- Your account data will be retained for 90 days after cancellation, then automatically deleted.
Refunds
- No charges apply during the Trial Period.
- Paid Plan fees are generally non-refundable. No refund will be issued for early cancellation of an annual plan. However, in the event of a service outage directly attributable to us lasting more than 72 consecutive hours, we may provide a pro-rated refund or credit. In any case, our maximum liability is limited to $39.96 (one year's fee, excl. tax).
- Refund requests should be submitted via the Contact Page.
8Prohibited Uses
You agree not to
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Register a domain you do not lawfully manage
- Create multiple accounts for a single domain
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the JavaScript code
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Engage in any fraudulent or harmful activities
- Transfer, sell, or assign your account to any third party
⚠ Changes to your registered email address or account transfers are not supported. Account transfers and resale are strictly prohibited.
9Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
10Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation
- We do not guarantee a 100% spam block rate
- We do not guarantee compatibility with your specific website environment
- We do not support or guarantee operation in SPA environments (post-navigation forms), iframe-based forms, forms replaced by A/B testing tools, or sites with strict CSP settings
10.1 Installation Disclaimer
Installation of the JavaScript code is performed entirely at your own risk. We provide no installation support, troubleshooting, or verification assistance. If you need help with installation, please consult your web developer. We are not responsible for any errors, display issues, or damage to your website caused by installation.
10.2 Post-Installation Disclaimer
We provide no warranty or support for post-installation issues, including conflicts with other scripts, plugins, or website components. We are not responsible for any damage resulting from the use or installation of the Service.
10.3 Trial Verification Recommendation
⚠ Important We strongly recommend verifying that MUTE works correctly in your website environment during the 14-day trial before subscribing to the Paid Plan. If you cannot confirm proper operation during the trial, we recommend against subscribing. Refunds after the trial period are not available as a general rule.
⚠ Environments where MUTE may not function
- Forms rendered after client-side navigation in SPA frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt.js, etc.)
- Forms embedded in iframes (e.g. Wix, Squarespace built-in forms)
- Forms dynamically replaced by A/B testing tools
- Sites with strict Content Security Policy (CSP) — script-src and connect-src must be updated to include MUTE's endpoint
11Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW
- Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for any damage to your website caused by installation or use of the Service.
12Modifications and Termination
- We may modify the Service at any time. Minor changes may be made without prior notice.
- We may terminate the Service at any time.
- Accounts that violate these Terms may be suspended or deleted without notice.
If we terminate the Service, Paid Plan subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion.
13Support, Language & Geographic Restrictions
- Support and notifications are provided in Japanese and English only.
- The Service may not be available in all countries or regions. Users are responsible for ensuring that use of the Service complies with local laws and regulations. We are not liable for any restrictions imposed by your country of residence.
14Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court.
15Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
16Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
